Credentials, Origin and Advisory Board

160 Years + Over 60 Beta Sites = the Unequaled

A team of business development consultants, a metrics expert and an organizational systems professor pooled their years, over 160, of experience and knowledge to construct an assessment and growth model entitled “MaxCI Assessment Tool™.

Beta Sites

The 60 plus beta sites tested the MaxCI Assessment Tool™ and process included colleges and universities, not-for-profit organizations, foundations, government agencies, chambers of commerce, boards of directors and business development consultants.

Origin of the MaxCI Assessment Tool™

The Guttman Scale of Evolution was the basis for the MaxCI Assessment Tool™. Benedict J. Di Salvo, Vice President & CEO, is the author of the Assessment Tool™. He has more than 40 years of experience and success in the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors as a consultant, administrator, grantee and grantor at the local, state, regional and national levels. His Masters degree is from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, School of Business – Bolz Center for Arts Administration.

To improve the utility of this Assessment tool, an amended version and approach were developed then tested by not-for-profit organizations in New York, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Georgia, Illinois and Wisconsin. With the assistance and guidance of Qualtrics.com, over the past two years the format evolved into a sophisticated, Internet-based, confidential organizational health self-assessment and growth model for not-for-profit organizations.

The MaxCI Assessment Tool™ uses comparative scoring (ipsative), that is, the organization is compared to itself, to its potential – not to other organizations.  Likewise, comparative scores for each of nine business functions. The results also include a logical and achievable set of specific recommendations as a guide for the organization’s development and to maximize its potential.

The MaxCI Assessment Tool™ is hosted and powered by Qualtrics, Inc., a world-wide provider of Online Survey Software solutions serving Fortune 500 companies, major universities and others with over one billion surveys completed to date.
